Course Description
The course, Human Communication, provides an
introduction to basic theories and concepts in the study of human
communication. Human communication is an important part of our everyday lives,
and understanding it at both a theoretical and experiential level is central to
this course. The focus will be on understanding theories that explain
communication processes and patterns in a variety of contexts as well as
applying that understanding in both personal relationships and public life. It
will help students become more effective communicators and consequently more
